Unify gravity and electro-magnetism?

Scientists present New Unified Field Theory – Completes Einsteins quest for a way to unify gravity and electro-magnetism A Theory Unifying Gravity and Electromagnetism , the two long range forces of nature, has been presented by Dr. John Brandenburg , a plasma physicist at a Symposium on String Theory Phenomenology at the University of Wisconsin in Madison Wisconsin. This new unified field theory yields a highly accurate formula of one of the most important physical constants in the Cosmos: The Newton Gravitation constant G. Dr. Lance Williams of Konfluence Research , a physicist who has studied Brandenburgs formula for G, commented: The formula for G is remarkable because, it is simple, has no free parameters, and yet is accurate to a part per thousand. No other theory predicts G to such accuracy The formula links the relative strengths of gravity and electromagnetism between subatomic particles to the existence of hydrogen, the most abundant element known in the universe. The unification theory, called simply the GEM theory, from the words Gravity Electro-Magnetism, completes the quest of Einstein, who labored until his death to unify gravity and electro-magnetism. Albert Einstein, was basically right that the two fields could be unified, however, Albert rejected quantum mechanics , and unfortunately, a key to understanding how gravity and EM are linked is the Zero-Point Energy , which is a quantum effect. Retired Defense Science Analyst Paul Murad, who oversaw several conferences on gravity waves and is familiar with Brandenburgs GEM theory, said this: The GEM unification theory is one of the most promising of new theories being developed on this subject. It has important implications to military defense and space travel. The theory links gravity to an effect widely known in plasma physics called the E X B drift which effects all particles the same, and is similar to the radiation pressure exerted by light. Among the predictions of the GEM theory is that gravity can be modified directly by strong electro-magnetic fields, leading to anti-gravity technologies , and that even wormholes for warp drive may someday be created electro-magnetically. Another odd prediction of the GEM unification theory is that the universe runs on the number 42.85 which was made popular in the Science Fiction book series Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. http://conferencing.uwex.edu/conferences/stringpheno2011/ParallelSession.cfm

Outside of the United States, there are many electric trains that can be used for freight. Europe especially uses a large amount of electric trains for shipping; however, European countries spent many years to make this transition. Unfortunately, the United States is having to make this transition right now and it will be many years until a sizable proportion of shipping companies use a large amount of electric vehicles and trains.

Levi Quinn asked: It is accepted that in order for the damage done to the environment by motor vehicles to be stalled, let alone rolled back, there will have to be a profound change in the way we fuel our vehicles. Once upon a time we looked upon unleaded gasoline as the savior – and the difference it has made has certainly been of great benefit, but lead in the fumes was never the only problem with gas-powered automobiles. The next step in changing the way we drive and its environmental impact has to be a move away from gas power, and governments around the world are becoming ever more aware of this fact. This is why more than a few authorities are now talking about – and putting into practice – plans to give tax rebates to motorists who make the move to hybrid and electric vehicles. When the rebate idea was first floated, it centered mostly around people who converted an existing car to run on hybrid energy. It has reached the point now where the government is moving away from the idea of conversion – due to the short-term nature of the full benefits – and is offering their prime rebates to motorists who cash in and buy a new, dedicated hybrid model. The intention is that there will be more cars on the road which are, and always have been, powered by green technology. By developing in this direction, the overall emissions level will drop faster and further, and the focus on environmental sustainability will become more determined. One focus of the government plans is Plug-in electric hybrid vehicles. As things stand, there are currently not many models available in this category, but the Toyota Prius is moving steadily towards making all newer models compatible with the plug-in technology. The idea is at the moment one that makes sense more for urban drivers, who are more likely to live close to somewhere that provides the plug-in points where fully-charged batteries can be picked up, as well as having shorter journeys to make and being in an area where there is a high concentration of traffic. As time goes on, the government is having to react to the situation as it changes. The modification of its rebate strategy is one example of such action. While the federal bailout extended the terms of some of the existing rebates, there are new ones being created as time goes on. The old rules mostly still apply – if you are buying the car for resale purposes, you will not qualify for a rebate, and nor will you qualify if a bulk of your travel in the car will be undertaken outside the United States. It is wise to look at some comparison sites to find out which is the best model for you and how to get the best rebate. Many people had considered the Toyota Prius (pre-plug in) to be a wise choice, but with the vast numbers already being sold, the rebates available on this model are shrinking. Some rebates of $4,000 are still available on other models, though, depending on where you look. Geothermal Heat Pumps Versus Electrical and Dual-Fuel Heat Pumps

December 10, 2010 by James

Christopher Brown asked: There are three options for you to choose from when purchasing a heat pump: Geothermal, which uses the heat from a few feet below ground or water; Electrical Air Source, which utilizes the air from the outside, heats it and then pumps it into your home; and Dual Fuel, which utilizes both gas and electricity to heat your home. Geothermal heat pumps are considered to be some of the most efficient units. This is because they use the natural heat of the earth which is located a few-feet below the surface of the earth. At this level, the ground temperatures are pretty steady and depending on where you are located range between forty five degrees and seventy-five degrees Fahrenheit. The geothermal heat pump takes advantage of this heat by exchanging heat with the earth through a ground heat exchanger. These systems are also able to cool your home and even provide you with hot water if they are equipped to do so. These systems last longer, are quieter and require little maintenance. They are more efficient because they use the ground heat. There are also dual-source heat pumps that combine both the geothermal heat sources as well as utilize electricity. These have higher efficiency ratings than your air source electrical heat pump units, but are not as efficient as the standard geothermal system. The main advantage of the dual units is that they are cheaper to install and work almost as well as the standard unit. However, on your standard unit it is estimated that the lifespan for the inside components is 25 years while the ground loops may last for fifty years. There are two other types of heat pumps you can choose from as well, although they are not going to be as efficient as the geothermal unit. These units are still going to work well and save you money in the long run though. Another type of dual-fuel unit is one that uses both electric and gas. These units are good for those locations that experience the occasional drop below freezing and require a more powerful source of fuel. These units switch between electric and gas. Air source electrical heat pumps use only electricity and come in several sizes. There are units large enough to heat your whole home and there are units small enough to heat just a room. The size of unit you choose will depend on what your heating requirements are. Typically, these units are used only in those locations that experience the occasional drop in temperature, but have a mild winter overall. Either unit that you choose will assist you in saving on your electricity bills. If you want to go with the “greenest” unit possible, then you will probably want to consider using the geothermal unit. It is estimated that 40,000 of these units are being installed in the United States each year and that the savings in energy bills will pay for the unit in five to ten years and the unit itself could last you a lifetime. Install a Geothermal Heat Pump

Stephen Ewings asked: Today’s geothermal systems outperform the best gas technology, by an average of 36% in heating mode and 43% in cooling mode. According to the United States Environmental Protection Agency geothermal heat pumps are the most energy-efficient, environmentally clean, and most cost-effective space conditioning systems available. There is no doubt that geothermal heat pumps are the low hanging fruit of energy efficiency, which is a bit like picking apples or oranges off a tree. The simple part of picking fruit is the easy-to-reach apples or oranges. Once these have been picked it gets harder, reaching on tippy-toes, until we finally start dragging the ladder around. Geothermal heat pumps are low-hanging-fruit, and utilizing this resource really is a no-brainer. Over the last 50 years heat pumps have evolved from backyard experiments designed by enthusiasts into mainstream technology. Not that this is really new technology as the Romans many centuries ago heated their baths using a similar concept. Of course the systems these days are much more efficient, and can deliver between 2.5-4.5 units of heat for every unit of energy consumed. This means they are generally 1.4 times more energy efficient than a gas fired boiler. Apart from being cost effective, geothermal heat pumps deliver gentle heat to your home without producing any soot at your home or any other toxic exhaust. www.ghp-books.com provides in-depth detail on installation, so you can understand how to make this free energy work for you. With the rebates and grants available to buffer the capital cost, it is a great time to save money on heating and cooling costs, while doing your bit for the environment. Gas 2 Electric Review – Is the New Electric Car Technology a Scam?

November 2, 2010 by admin

Judd Marshall asked: Does electric car technology really exist, and can you really convert your car to run with electric with the Gas 2 Electric guide? I recently purchased and used this guide by George Christodoulou that claims to be able to help anyone convert their gas cars to run on electricity. More information about electric car technology and the features of Gas 2 Electric will be explained further inside this article. 1. The History Of Electric Cars At one time in the past, electrically powered cars were very popular in United States roads as gas cars produced a lot of smoke and made a lot of noise. However, after new methods to make gas were found, electrically powered cars were slowly taken over, and gasoline cars became the standard method of traveling. With more efforts being made to promote a cleaner environment and cleaner cars, electric car conversion has become a very hot topic. I managed to find and download this guide called Gas 2 Electric that has helped me convert my vehicle to run with electric easily. 2. How Does An Electric Car Work? These cars use electrical energy stored in batteries to run the motor and turn the wheels. No gasoline is burned during the process, and I have found this method of powering a car to be much cleaner and more cost efficient. 3. What Are The Batteries Needed To Run An Electric Car? Up to 24 batteries may be needed to power an electrical car. To charge the batteries, I will usually plug them into the regular electrical wall outlet at night. These batteries may be nickel cadmium type or lead acid type, and the Gas 2 Electric guide will explain to you how different batteries differ in terms of capacity of energy it is able to hold and which ones are able to last the longest. Energy Efficiency – Replace Your HVAC System With An Energy Efficient Geothermal Heat Pump

October 22, 2010 by James

Sam Greyhawk asked: Geothermal Heat Pumps or GHPs can use 30-60% less energy than conventional HVAC systems, Geothermal systems are also quieter and require less maintenance. Geothermal Heat Pumps are not limited to heating, they can also be use for cooling and in some cases they can even be used as water heaters. While we have been using Geothermal heat pumps since the late 1940s, according to the Climate Institute, “geothermal heating” has been used since the time of the Roman Empire as a way of heating buildings and spas by using sources of hot water and steam that exist near the Earth’s surface. How Do Geothermal Heat Pumps Work? While the temperature can vary widely from season to season, just a few feet below the earth’s surface the ground maintains a relatively constant temperature. This ground temperature can range from 45?F (7?C) to 75?F (21?C) depending on geographical location. A GHP uses this stable ground temperature to heat, cool, and when properly equipped, supply the house with hot water through a ground heat exchanger. Using the consistent temperature of ht earth as a heat exchange, instate of outside air with its variable conditions allows GHPS to reach fairly high efficiencies on the coldest nights. Geothermal Systems vs. Air-Source Systems While efficiencies vary by model, conditions and geographic location consider the following. According to the US Department of Energy (DOE): Geothermal Systems can reach 300 efficiency “on the coldest of winter nights” Air-Source Systems can reach 175 efficiency “on cool days” The improvement in energy efficiency offered by GHPs can reduce energy costs by 30-50% in comparison to traditional HVAC systems. In the United States, the DOE estimates about 40,000 geothermal heat pumps are installed each year. While this may seem like a large volume, it is only a drop in the bucket when your consider two-thirds of all homes in the United States are equipped with air conditioning. Why Isn’t Everyone Using a Geothermal Heat Pump? When compared to traditional HVAC systems, Geothermal Heat Pumps “can be several times that of an air-source system of the same heating and cooling capacity” states the DOE. How expensive are they? According to Michael Bluejay, “In 2006 a geo system cost about $2500 per ton of capacity to install. A 3-ton geo system at $7500 compares with $4000 for a traditional system, for a $3500 up-front premium for the geo system. Thanks to the energy efficiency of Geothermal Heat Pumps, this expense is returned to you in savings in as a little of 5-10 years. With an expected system lifespan of 25 years for components, and 50+ years for the ground loop, a Geothermal Heat Pump can provide energy savings for many years. By reducing your electricity consumption you reduce your carbon footprint. Do your part to fight global warming, by using energy efficient technologies like GHPs to reduce your electricity usage. Looking For Advice About Alternative Energy Sources

October 21, 2010 by James

Electricity is consumed in large amounts in today’s world. One of the main reasons for this is the rapid change of technology. When a high number of hi tech equipment, vehicles, etc enters the market, the people are inclined to purchase it. In the past although governments did not stress about it, a shortage of natural resources in the long term was a visible fact by most people. This is why finding alternative energy sources are a necessary and important factor. Countries that supply oil are aware of these shortages and therefore increase their prices each year. The more we lose the more problems we are faced with. Many governments are ready to go ahead with alternative energy sources, simply because of the high prices in the already lacking resources. The first time the need for alternative energy sources came up in the United States in the 1970’s. An oil shortage in those years resulted in individuals staying at long queues in gas filling stations. It is not only vehicles that had this problem. Households suffered with a shortage of gas and other energy resources that were used in their day-to-day lives. This became a critical issue and experts started to find alternative energy sources to solve this issue. Up to date, many experts have made several advancements in their search for alternative energy sources, but the fact remains that the prices of resources we use today are higher than never before. When talking about alternative energy sources, the wind, water and sun are some of the main three resources that are put into this use. If the technology is used properly with these resources, a more cost effective mode could be made. Instead of oil being used, people could replace it with such alternative energy sources and use it to turn their turbines for the generation process. Geothermal power and hydropower are also some of the alternative energy sources that are used today. Although there are several alternative energy sources that can be put into use, one must know that not everyone can use the sources the way they want. For example, a person who lives in a geographic area that has less wind cannot use wind as a means to turn their turbines to generate electricity. The same goes for individuals living in areas with less exposure to the sun. alternative energy sources cannot be used in such locations. This proves that not every geographic location can be utilized for the generation of electricity.
