NYPA has announced a major step forward on its Great Lakes Offshore Wind Project. On December 1, President Richard Kessel released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the development of utility scale (120 MW to 500 MW) wind generating projects in New York State waters of Lake Erie and/or Lake Ontario. Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) has announced the near completion of its DeSoto Next Generation Solar Energy Center in Arcadia, Florida.
